Notes for WILLIAM FOWLER II:

It is believed that William came to America between 1775 and 1776 and may have traveled with his brother John.

William lived in Hagerstown, MD then moved to Baltimore, MD and then Kentucky. He served in the American Revolution and served with the Maryland Continental troops for 3 years. He was wounded in the Siege on Ft. Mifflin near Philadelphia. His first dated record is 11/1/1777 , it indicates a term of enlistment of 3 years. William Fowler served in the 2nd Maryland Regt, Capt. Eli Dorsey's company commanded by Col. Thomas Woolford.
